What is PuppetConf?
PuppetConf is the fifth annual IT operations conference hosted by Puppet Labs. PuppetConf 2015 will give attendees the tools they need to elevate their careers through five days of training, keynotes, track sessions, demos and networking events. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced user of Puppet technologies, this year’s PuppetConf has something for you. Sessions will cover the topics IT professionals care about most: DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery, cloud management, application delivery, software defined networking, career and personal development, and more.
Who should attend?
PuppetConf 2015 will host an estimated 1,900 on-site and 6,000 live-stream IT professionals charged with managing enterprise, architecture, web operations, and application development & deployment, technology evangelists and entrepreneurs who leverage cloud-based technology for agility and efficiency, and IT researchers investigating high performance computing.
When and where is PuppetConf 2015?
PuppetConf 2015 is scheduled October 5 - 9 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. There are a variety of activities for attendees to take part in, event registration is required. Here’s a basic breakdown of the schedule:
- Monday, October 5 - Wednesday, October 7 - Training Classes (only available to to those who pre-registered for a training course)
- Wednesday, October 7 - Friday, October 9 - Certification Testing
- Wednesday, October 7 - Contributor Summit
- Wednesday, October 7 - Welcome Reception
- Thursday, October 8 - Friday, October 9 - Keynotes, Track Sessions, Exhibit Pavilion, Social Activities and more!

How do I convince my boss to let me go?

Where should I stay?
We are excited to share that we’d booked a special discounted rate for attendees to stay at one of the conference hotels - the DoubleTree by Hilton Portland or the Courtyard by Marriott Portland City Center. Visit the official PuppetConf 2015 travel website to book your rooms today! The cut-off date is Friday, September 18th but keep in mind we’ll likely sell out early so book soon!
What should I wear?
PuppetConf attendees are encouraged to wear casual or business casual attire. You’ll also receive an event t-shirt when you check-in at the registration desk while supplies last.
What meals are included?
During the main event which starts Wednesday, October 7th at the Welcome Reception, attendees will enjoy finger food and beverages. Thursday, October 8th - Friday, October 9th we’ll provide breakfast, networking breaks & lunches. Join us at the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry on Thursday evening from 6 PM - 8:30 PM at the City of Roses Party to enjoy beer, wine and soda tasting, cocktails, local food cart goodies, homemade pizza and more!

What and when is the Contributor Summit? Should I attend?
The Contributor Summit is a free add-on to all PuppetConf attendees who’d like to attend! To learn more about this event, visit https://2015.puppetconf.com/contributor-summit. To register for this event, select PuppetConf + Contributor Summit when registering for PuppetConf.
What if I’ve already registered for PuppetConf but want to attend the Contributor Summit as well?
If you’ve already registered for PuppetConf and didn’t include the Contributor Summit, but would like to attend, you can add it on here at no additional cost. You must be pre-registered for PuppetConf and the Contributor Summit in order to attend.
I’m interested in getting Puppet Certified - will that be available at PuppetConf?
Yes, but space is limited and likely to be full before PuppetConf even starts. Please add your name to the interest list and registration information is sent on a first come, first serve basis.
What is the cancellation and refund policy for PuppetConf?
You can cancel your event registration up to 180 days post-registering for the event to receive a 100% refund. After that, you can change the name on the registration.

Is there WiFi on-site?
Yes! We will have signs throughout the conference space noting the WiFi connection information.
Is there a mobile app?
